Rain delays ACM Party for a Cause performances

Some country music fans spent much of Friday night waiting around instead of rocking at the ACM Party for a Cause event.

Fans waited through a two-hour rain delay for the concert to begin, which was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets said that the concert would go on, rain or shine. Some came prepared, while others bought ponchos or umbrellas.

The rain started coming down around 7:30 p.m. and increased to a downpour with periodic lightning just as the crowds started to fill the seats.

Almost as soon as they came out, they retreated to the overhang or concourse to stay warm and dry if they didn't have covered seats.

Some big names on tap for the concert include Luke Bryan, Reba McEntire, Dwight Yoakam and more.
