Amazing what a difference 12 hours makes across North Texas. Last night's storms are gone, leaving behind sunshine and clouds to start your Sunday morning. Sun will continue into the afternoon with highs around 80° with increasing winds switching from south to northwest in response to a cold frontal passage later today. Winds will be sustained 15-25 mph with higher gusts this afternoon, eventually diminishing after sunset.
Areas EAST of the Metroplex have a 20% chance of thunderstorms developing later this afternoon, likely east of Greenville/Kaufman/Corsicana and pushing east through the afternoon. Any storms that do form could quickly turn severe with large hail and damaging winds.
The workweek starts dry and sunny with highs in the 70s Monday and Tuesday, but more chances for storms come Wednesday through Friday.
