DALLAS (AP) -- A 15-story office building near downtown Dallas has been turned into rubble to make way for retail development.

Demolition crews have imploded the former Affiliated Computer Services/Xerox structure along highway U.S. 75.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit halted halt light rail service in the area Sunday morning amid the controlled explosion and initial clearing of debris. The blast also created a large dust cloud.

Trammel Crow Co. in 2013 purchased the property.
