Allen Eagle Stadium reopens following repairs

For the first time since November 2013, there's football again at the Taj Mahal of high school football stadiums.

Allen Eagle Stadium was shut down last season because of extensive repairs to the design and structural problems.

The football team was back on home turf on Friday night after playing every game last season away.

Friday night’s second grand opening brought out huge crowds.

The nearly 800-member marching band joined cheerleaders, the drill team and color guard to amp up the crowd.

Skydivers parachuted onto the field, and there were tailgating hours before gates even opened.

Contractors agreed to pay for the $10 million in repairs to the $60 million stadium.
