Dallas St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place Saturday

The Dallas St. Patrick's Day Parade is promising even more family fun than in years past.

Organizers have expanded the family-friendly zone while also creating a brew-fest tent.

The annual procession down Greenville Avenue features dozens of floats, marching bands and all kinds of themed entries.

It's been named one of the best St. Patrick's Day parades in the nation.

For folks worried about parking, organizers suggest using public transportation.

The fun starts with the Dash Down Greenville 5K at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The parade follows at 11 a.m. and gates open at noon for the Josh Abbott concert at Greenville and University.

The St. Patrick's block party on Lower Greenville lasts until 6 p.m.
