Nothing harmful found in suspicious 18-wheeler parked near Dallas federal building
Law enforcement officials didn’t find anything harmful inside a suspicious truck that was parked outside the Earle Cabell Federal Building in Downtown Dallas.
Sgt. Warren Mitchell with the Dallas Police Department said someone called 911 around 6:30 a.m. Monday to report an 18-wheeler was left abandoned near Griffin and Jackson streets.
The officers who responded to the call looked into the bed of the truck and saw suspicious wiring. They immediately called the bomb squad, Mitchell said.Read the full article

Fort Worth kidnapping suspect pleads not guilty, asks for new attorney
The man who was expected to plead guilty to kidnapping an 8-year-old Fort Worth girl entered a not guilty plea in federal court.
Michael Webb was arrested at a hotel in Forest Hill last month. Police said he kidnapped a random girl who was walking with her mother in a neighborhood south of downtown Fort Worth, took her to the hotel and sexually assaulted her.
Last week, Webb's attorney filed court documents indicated he would plead guilty. However, Webb did not enter that plea before the judge .Read the full article
Capital murder trial for Sherin Mathews' father to begin Monday
Testimony is set to begin Monday in the trial for a Richardson father charged with capital murder for the death of his 3-year-old special needs daughter who was adopted from India.
The case has received high interest since Sherin Mathews went missing in October 2017.
At the time of her disappearance, Wesley Mathews told police he left her outside of their Richardson home because she wouldn't drink her milk.Read the full article
