Driver killed in crash on Dallas North Tollway

The driver of an Audi sedan was killed after he lost control of the vehicle on the North Tollway in Dallas.  The crash happened around 11:30p.m. Friday near the Trinity Mills Road exit. The impact of the crash was so severe the vehicle was split in half.  DPS investigators say the vehicle left the roadway and struck two utility poles.  State troopers closed the stretch of highway for five hours while investigators collected evidence.


DPS is trying to determine if alcohol was involved.  The deceased driver's name has not yet been released.
