JPS Hospital has opened a flu clinic in Fort Worth to relieve crowding in its emergency room.
The clinic is on the fourth floor of the family health center on the hospital campus and will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. 6 p.m.
The hospital stresses it is designed for non-emergency patients.
JPS also has roving flu clinics. The first will begin Tuesday at JPS Medical Home at True Fort Worth Place at 1513 Presidio Street. It will provide flu shots and treat flu patients on a walk-in basis form 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
On Saturday, the roving flu clinic will move to Unity Park and provide care from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Last month, 408 people at the hospital tested positive for the flu. Halfway through January, 341 people have already tested positive.
