Chef Jason Hoffman with IVY Kitchen stops by Good Day to make cinnamon crusted French toast using Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.
Cinnamon Crusted French Toast
16 oz. Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal (grounded) 8 slices brioche bread cut into ¾ inch thick slices 2 cups French toast batter (see below)
1 cup whipped cream
2 cups fresh berries (blackberries, blueberries, strawberries; mixed) 2 oz. real maple syrup
2 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Combine ingredients for batter in large mixing bowl and mix well. Dip brioche slices in batter until completely submerged. Bread the outside of batter soaked brioche in ground cereal and place on buttered flat grill. Cook on both sides for 3 minutes each. Cut toast and set on plate. Top with maple syrup, powdered sugar and fresh fruit mix. Serve with side of maple syrup.
