Leah Loose, the creator of Leah's Sweet Treats, shares the recipe for an easy Christmas breakfast donut.
Chocolate Baked Donut
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
1 cup buttermilk (or whole milk if buttermilk is not available)
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cream together the sugar, butter, and eggs.
Alternate adding milk and dry ingredients until combined.
Pipe batter into greased silicone donut molds Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
1 cup powdered sugar
4 Tbsp. cocoa powder
4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
4 Tbsp. milk
Stick broken pretzels into the top of the donut for "antlers". Place candy eyeballs and cherry for the eyes and nose.
