Braised Mushrooms

Chef Jay Valley from Saint Racco's at Trinity Grove stops by Good Day to make savory braised mushrooms.

Edgidio's Braised Mushrooms   

2 1/2 lbs Mushrooms Domestic, Medium
6 cloves Garlic Cloves, Chopped   
1 ea. Yellow Onion (Med)
1/2 tbls Sea Salt
2 tbls Fresh Oregano   
2 tbls Fresh Italian Parsley   
1/2 tbls Fresh Ground Pepper
2 oz Butter
2 oz Olive Oil

Clean and trim mushrooms Cut into quarters. Chop oregano and Italian parsley.

Heat olive oil and butter. Sautee onions. Add mushrooms. Add garlic. Add chopped herbs, salt & pepper.  

Cover and and braise on low heat 45 minutes.  You'll want the mushrooms dark.
