Brittany Hardin from Bonafide Betties Pie Co. stopped by Good Day to make what Bonafide calls their Big Daddy Pecan Pie. The bourbon and butter make it irresistible.
Big Daddy Pecan Pie
1 C Sugar
1/4 C Bourbon
1C Karo Syrup
1 Stick of butter
2 Tb Flour
1 C Texas Pecans
Preheat oven to 350
First, you want to mix your 1 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour together in a bowl.
Then in a second bowl mix your 3 eggs, 1 tb vanilla, & 1/4 C of bourbon together.
In a glass bowl melt the 1 stick of butter and mix in the karo syrup. While that is cooling pour the egg mixture in with the flour mixture. Mix that well and then add your butter mixture.
Pour 1 cup of pecans in pie shell, then pour mixture over pecans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until has a slight jiggle on top.
