Lindsey Ross from Schakolad Chocolate Factory in Sundance Square shows you how to make truffles at home.
8 ounces of milk, dark, or white chocolate, broken or chopped into small pieces
1/2 Cup of Heavy Whipping Cream
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
In a saucepan bring whipping cream to a boil Add chocolate to the mixture and continue to stir until all is melted Pour into a separate container and add vanilla, stir and refrigerate 2-3 hours. I prefer to let it sit overnight.
Once your mixture is firm enough you want to scoop out nickel size balls and roll into a ball Then add your topping of choice!
Cocoa Powder, Coconut, sprinkles, nuts of any kind, Oreo pieces, peppermint Don’t be afraid to add other flavors besides the vanilla. Amaretto, Grand Mainer, Mint, Cinnamon … There are so many options, be creative and do what you like!!
