Dallas teen bringiing awareness about Parkinson's with her music

A teenager's tribute to her grandmother is raising awareness about Parkinson's disease. Tippy Balady is a freshman at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts in Dallas. She's capturing attention with her new song, Coconut Cake.

Her grandmother is now bedridden. Also, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease every nine minutes in the United States. That's why Balady plans to donate money from her sales to the National Parkinson's Foundation.

To download the song or make donation, visit her website at www.heartippysing.com. You can also hear her perform live Sunday at NorthPark Center. The "Party in the Park" benefits Reconciliation Outreach. For ticket information email Lizzytaylor@me.com.
