FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - The best indication of players really wanting to play for TCU is that most of this signing class was committed long before the Horned Frogs shared the Big 12 title.
Coach Gary Patterson said more than half of the 21 signees announced Wednesday chose the Horned Frogs coming off a 4-8 season a year ago - not during the 12-1 season just completed as the Frogs were sharing the Big 12 title and routing Mississippi in the Peach Bowl.
While TCU lost only one offensive lineman and one receiver, there are several seniors at both positions for the upcoming season.
Five receivers and four offensive linemen, including center Jozie Milton from Clinton, Louisiana, are in the class.
Eleven of the 21 signees are from the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
