SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Ten high school students in San Antonio could face prosecution after a cafeteria food fight left a cleanup worker seriously hurt.
KSAT-TV (http://bit.ly/1ekCuJt ) reports Thursday afternoon's incident happened at McCollum High School.
A spokeswoman for the Harlandale Independent School District says an employee who was cleaning up the mess slipped and fell. A statement says the worker, whose name wasn't released, was hospitalized in serious condition.
Principal Aracelie Bunsen sent a letter to parents saying 10 students "made a bad choice in the cafeteria." She says the students in the food fight caused a mess and a significant disturbance.
Bunsen says the students, who are juveniles and their names not released, are expected to face criminal charges and be held accountable by the student code.
Further details weren't immediately released.
