North Texas man held without bond after 8th DWI charge

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - A North Texas man has been charged with driving while intoxicated for the eighth time and if convicted faces up to 20 years in prison.

Tarrant County jail records show 68-year-old Harold Moore of Trophy Club was being held without bond Thursday.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram ( ) reports Moore was indicted last month on a DWI-felony repetition charge over a November wreck. Southlake police say his SUV hit a car that was stopped at a red light.

Tests showed Moore had a blood-alcohol level of 0.27, more than three times the legal limit for driving.

Moore was first arrested for DWI in 1992. Records show in 2006 he received four years in prison after his seventh DWI conviction. He was on probation during his latest arrest.

Moore's attorney didn't immediately comment.
