COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Kourtney Roberson had a season-high 20 points and Texas A&M withstood a late charge from Florida to hold on for a 63-62 win on Saturday.
The Gators used a 6-0 spurt to take their first lead of the second half, 62-61, with less than two minutes remaining.
Jalen Jones made two free throws to put A&M back on top with about a minute remaining. The Gators had a chance to win it, but Alex Murphy's 3-pointer bounced off the rim as time expired.
Roberson, a senior who entered the game averaging just 7.8 points a game, dominated inside, making 8 of 10 shots and finishing with six rebounds.
Texas A&M (17-7, 8-4 SEC) bounced back after a loss to Georgia on Wednesday night.
Eli Carter's 22 points led Florida (12-13, 5-7), which lost its fourth straight game.
