LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Kyan Anderson scored 19 points to lead TCU to a 62-42 road win against Texas Tech on Saturday.

The Horned Frogs defense showed once again why it's one of the best in the country. The Red Raiders shot 11 of 48 (22.9 percent) and had season lows in shooting percentage (20 percent) and points (14) in the first half. Their five first-half field goals tied a season low.

The strong performance on defense allowed the Horned Frogs (14-3, 1-3 Big 12) to earn their first Big 12 win after starting conference play with three losses by a total of 23 points.

Randy Onwuasor scored 10 points for the Red Raiders (10-8, 0-5 Big 12). Red Raiders coach Tubby Smith hasn't had a team start 0-5 in conference play in his previous 23 seasons as a head coach.
