SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Karah Sicurella scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Sunnyvale (36-2) defeated Rockdale (30-4) 71-27 in a Girls Class 3A semifinal at the Alamodome.
Grace Goodhart added 21 points and seven assists for Sunnyvale, while Bria Johnson finished with 16 points in the school's first state tournament appearance.
Sunnyvale will play Shallowater in the Class 3A Championship game at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Sunnyvale never trailed in the game and built its 44-point lead with highly efficient shooting. Sunnyvale converted on 29 of 53 attempts from the field, including a 6-for-11 effort from beyond the 3-point arc. The Raiders also had 16 steals and dished out 20 assists.
De'Jhoria Robertson and Jamiere McBride each finished with 10 points for Rockdale, which was making its first state appearance since 1972.
