I love what I do--and being able to do it in my hometown is the cherry on top. I grew up in Richardson and attended Plano schools, but I'm the daughter of immigrants who moved to the U.S. in the 70's and soon became proud naturalized citizens.
Even as a child, I savored my role helping them communicate with the world as we were all learning English together. Later, when war broke out in their native country of Kosova, I was drawn to the coverage. I knew some of the early reports coming from the region were not accurate. I became determined to tell people's stories accurately and precisely -- and that's what I've tried to do ever since.
After working as a student journalist at the University of Texas at Austin, I began my professional career reporting at KXII in Sherman. I then took a job at KTUL in Tulsa, Oklahoma and most recently spent just under seven years at KMOV in St. Louis, Missouri. Before leaving St. Louis, I did manage to meet my future husband and we married last September.
Aside from my hard-working parents and wonderful in-laws, I also have a younger sister who works in government relations.
As for me? I like to curl up with a good book. I enjoy eating delicious food when it's cooked by other people. I exercise pretty regularly and want to tell you I really enjoy working out, but I'm committed to accurate reporting and won't lie to you.
Like I said, I love my job and I can't do it well without your help. There are stories that need to be told. Your stories. My email is Diana.Zoga@foxtv.com
