ASSOCIATE PRODUCER: Regular Full-Time: Responsibilities include writing stories and teases, editing video and creating graphics and supers for newscasts, and associated news partners. The position works closely with Producers to help develop and format newscasts and communicates continuously with Reporters, Photographers, the Assignment Desk, Managers and outside sources regarding story developments and changes.  Must possess the ability to write stories for digital platforms and create content for social medial platforms in coordination with Producers and Managers. Must excel at facilitating communication during newscasts regarding live shots and story development. Associate Producers must have the ability to overcome anticipated and unexpected changes when putting together newscasts.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field required.  2 experience as a TV Newscast Producer in a small to medium to major television market required or 2 years’ experience as an Associate Producer in a medium to major television market.  Ideal candidate must be able to work under tight deadlines and have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.  Strong knowledge of legal and ethical parameters for mass media is essential.  Strong working knowledge of the technical aspects of television news production required, including digital and web-based newsgathering tools. Ideal candidate must be able to use newsroom computer systems, including Avid iNews and Avid search, editing and graphics programs.

PRODUCER:  Regular Full-Time: Responsible for producing all elements of newscasts- including leads, stories, teases, and breakouts. Strong writing and show production skills are required.  The candidate must have experience in mining social media information. Must be involved in the coverage of news events and participate in the selection and development of stories.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Four (4) year college degree required.  The candidate must possess five (5) – six (6) years’ experience as a TV newscast producer in a medium to major market. Candidate must have strong news judgment, good writing skills, knowledge of current events and excellent communication and people skills.  He/she must handle pressure well including the ability to handle breaking news.  Knowledge of TV production techniques and newsroom computer systems required.


Technical Operations Manager: This position requires an experienced hands-on Technical Operations Manager to assist the VP Engineering in overseeing the day-to-day engineering and technical operations of ENG/SNG, Production Control Rooms, Master Control, Studios and all remote sites.  The Technical Operations Manager must be a leader who challenges personnel and investigates technical and operational systems to innovate for all news channels (TV and Digital).  Responsibilities include oversight of the engineers, technicians and staff assigned to the Engineering Department.  The Technical Operations Manager will work closely with the News Department management and staff to ensure the operation of news equipment, news transmission systems and vehicles.  Must be experienced in budgeting, ordering, tracking of purchases and repairs on news equipment and news fleet.  Coordinates the technical and staffing logistics on remotes and station events.

Position requires a four (4) year college/technical school degree related to Broadcast Operations/Content with a minimum of five (5) year's technical news experience in a major market.  The Technical Operations Manager must have strong communication skills, be successful in leading and motivating employees and have strong attention to detail.  Must be familiar with Collective Bargaining Agreements.  Previous managerial experience and overseeing a large team of employees is strongly recommended.  Past experience supervising employees under Collective Bargaining Agreements is preferred.  Must be capable of solving day-to-day maintenance and operational issues.  Must demonstrate ability to think through problems to a logical conclusion.  Must set clear expectations for engineers, technicians and staff and hold employees accountable for consistent performance.  Must possess ability to communicate problems accurately to co-workers, managers and vendors.  Must be able to work on and resolve problems without constant support and guidance from Supervisors.


Account Executive: The successful Account Executive (AE) must be able to identify qualified targets, use strong communication and presentation skills throughout the sales process and maintain a high closing ratio.  We are looking for someone that can bring together all our resources (Top Rated Local News, FOX Network, FOX Sports, My Network TV, Digital Sponsorships and Promotions) in a creative manner to achieve a high level of results.  Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, strategically negotiating existing business along with obtaining incremental dollars from the existing market and building strong client relationships.  Responsible for completing administrative tasks such as weekly forecasts, monthly reports, new business trackers, weekly meeting forms and the credit and collection of all accounts.

Ideal candidate must possess a proven track record of success in sales.  A four-year college degree is required.  Media sales experience is strongly preferred.  Knowledge of media math, TV ratings and web metrics is a plus.  Candidate must be a self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.  We are looking for someone who is energetic, positive, creative and passionate to succeed in the highly competitive environment of media sales.  Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking are critical to the position.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required and knowledge of media-related software and research tools is a plus.

National Sales Assisstant: The National Sales Assistant assists a team of Account Executives and a National Sales Manager.  The National Sales Assistant is responsible for the day to day tasks involved with the local order activity process.  These tasks include, but are not limited to, order entry, contract maintenance, contract reconciliation and the posting of contracts. The National Sales Assistant will be responsible for the coordination and maintenance of both the Order Connect system and Wide Orbit paperwork, as well as the filing of national contracts.  The National Sales Assistant will be in constant communication with Account Executives, the National Sales Manager, the Traffic Department and Advertisers.                  

The National Sales Assistant must have good communication skills and be able to interface with a team of Account Executives.  They must demonstrate the ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.  The National Sales Assistant must be computer proficient and will be required to learn industry specific software and create sales presentations.  Broadcast sales assistant experience preferred.  College degree with emphasis in Advertising, Marketing or Business preferred.  Strong Microsoft Office skills required, including Excel.  Must be highly organized and detail oriented.  Strong mathematical skills required.

Research Analyst   

The Research Analyst will distribute and analyze Nielson overnight ratings; They will work with assigned sales teams at designated stations to produce sales focused estimates, rationales, one-sheets and presentations. The RA will utilize marketing materials where applicable;  They will attend and contribute to weekly sales meetings; Update tracks, produce comparagraphs and cost per point grids for sales/sales management; Work on special research presentations; Work with DDS mainframe system, Microsoft products: Word, Excel.

Minimum one/two years research experience at a station/rep-firm; Knowledge of Wide Orbit system and all Nielsen reports/services; Familiarity with CMR databases; excellent math, writing and PC skills a must; College degree preferred; other duties as assigned.
